Celebrating 10 Years of Innovation at Informetis Europe
A Decade of Excellence
Since our inception in 2015, Informetis Europe has been at the forefront of AI and ML innovation. Our early years were primarily to act as an R&D Lab for our parent company, Informetis Japan. Over the years we were guided world-renowned Machine Learning academics such as Professor Zoubin Ghahramani. We also benefitted greatly from recruiting high calibre PhD graduates from Cambridge University as well as other leading institutions over the past decade.

Over the last 5 years, we have trialled both our energy and health care solutions with leading companies in the Insurance, Telecom and Energy sectors. We hope to release some of our commercial solutions to the market via our partners soon.
Some milestones from our past decade include:
-
Halton Housing Trials: Partnered with Halton Housing to trial AI-based sensor technology, ensuring the safety of elderly and vulnerable tenants by monitoring electrical appliance usage using our smart sensor - Link to article

Our market focus for the next 5 years:
1. The Elderly Care Market

The elderly care market in Europe is experiencing significant growth, driven by the continent's rapidly aging population. The market size was valued at around $350 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow by over 70% to around $600 billion by 2032. This growth is fuelled by the increasing number of elderly individuals requiring specialized care and support services, as well as advancements in healthcare technology such as telehealth and remote monitoring.
The population of older people (aged 65 years or more) in the EU-27 is projected to increase from 90.5 million in 2019 to 129.8 million by 2050 – an increase of over 40%. This has now become a significant focus for all EU governments to find a technological solution to deal with this significant shift in demographics.

2. The Smart Energy Market
The heat pump market in the UK and Europe is expected to grow significantly over the next five years.

-
United Kingdom: The UK heat pump market is expected to grow by a CAGR of over 11% between now and 2030. In addition, the UK government has announced plans to encourage the installation of 600,000 heat pumps a year by 2028
-
Europe: Similarly, the European heat pump market is projected to grow at a CAGR of over 12% during the same period. The installed base of heat pumps in Europe is expected to reach 335 million by 2029
-
The growth in both markets is driven by various government regulations and initiatives aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting energy-efficient solutions
Informetis have partnered with Daikin Europe, to provide energy saving capability using our smart sensor to their market leading range of Altherma Heat Pumps (https://www.informetis.com/en/news/2825/). We have shown in field trials that our solution is able to save around 20% of the annual electricity bill in the average home.
